FRONT DOOR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Outside Door Handle Sub-assembly LH)

      Check the resistance of the outside door handle sub-assembly LH.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (LSW) - 4 (LSWG) Pop up condition Below 1 Ω Retracted 4 MΩ or higher 2 (USW) - 5 (USWG) Pop up condition 4 MΩ or higher Retracted Below 1 Ω 3 (POSI) - 6 (PSIG) Pop up condition Below 1 Ω Retracted 4 MΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outside door handle sub-assembly LH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Outside Door Handle Sub-assembly LH)

      Check the pop up operation.

      
      

      1. Check the retracted and pop up condition of the outside door handle assembly LH when the auxiliary battery voltage is applied to the connector terminal.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (MRT+) Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 2 (MRT-) Pop up condition Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (MRT+) Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 2 (MRT-) Retracted

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outside door handle sub-assembly LH.

2. INSPECT OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Outside Door Handle Sub-assembly RH)

      Check the resistance of the outside door handle sub-assembly RH.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 (LSW) - 4 (LSWG) Pop up condition Below 1 Ω Retracted 4 MΩ or higher 2 (USW) - 5 (USWG) Pop up condition 4 MΩ or higher Retracted Below 1 Ω 3 (POSI) - 6 (PSIG) Pop up condition Below 1 Ω Retracted 4 MΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outside door handle sub-assembly RH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Outside Door Handle Sub-assembly RH)

      Check the pop up operation.

      
      

      1. Check the retracted and pop up condition of the outside door handle assembly RH when the auxiliary battery voltage is applied to the connector terminal.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 1 (MRT+) Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 2 (MRT-) Pop up condition Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 1 (MRT+) Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 2 (MRT-) Retracted

         If the result is not as specified, replace the outside door handle sub-assembly RH.
