LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER INNER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER INNER SWITCH (NO. 3 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for LHD)


    1. Remove the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).

      Component without harness connected

      (Luggage Compartment Door Opener Inner Switch (No. 3 Combination Switch Assembly))

      Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3(B) - 13(L) Luggage Compartment Opening Switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        Luggage Compartment Opening Switch ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).

    3. Check that the switch illuminates.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the No. 3 combination switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 12 (ILL-)

        LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).

    4. Install the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).

  2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER INNER SWITCH (NO. 3 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for RHD)


    1. Remove the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).

      Check the resistance.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        6(B) - 16(L) Luggage Compartment Opening Switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        Luggage Compartment Opening Switch ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).

    3. Check that the switch illuminates.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the No. 3 combination switch assembly and check that the LED illuminates.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 12 (ILL-)

        LED illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door opener inner switch (No. 3 combination switch assembly).
