WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the P58 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      P58-2 (IG+) - Body ground R - Body ground Power source (IG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      P58-1 (+B1) - Body ground W - Body ground Auxiliary battery power supply Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      P58-4 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the P58 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      P58-17 (FDEF) - Body ground GR - Body ground Wiper deicer signal Power switch on (IG), windshield deicer switch off 11 to 14 V
      Power switch on (IG), windshield deicer switch on Below 2.2 V
