  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    Make sure to perform initialization after replacing the No. 1 blower damper servo sub-assembly. If initialization is not performed, the air conditioning unit assembly will not perform properly as the air conditioning amplifier assembly will not be able to recognize the position of the No. 1 blower damper servo sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE (Valve)

      Remove the drain cooler hose (valve).

  3. REMOVE HEATER CASE PACKING


    1. B000PZT

      Remove the heater case packing.

  4. REMOVE AIR FILTER COVER PLATE

      B004B1M Remove in this Direction (1)
      B004CNL Remove in this Direction (2)

      Detach the claw and guide as shown in the illustration and remove the air filter cover plate.

  5. REMOVE CLEAN AIR FILTER

      Pull out the cooling unit parts.

    2. B000O0O

      Detach the guide and remove the clean air filter.

  6. REMOVE SPRING NUT

      Remove the 4 spring nuts.

  7. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR WITH FAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B000SEI

      Remove the 3 screws and blower motor with fan sub-assembly.

    2. B004AZTC01
      *1 Heater Packing

      When reusing the blower motor with fan sub-assembly:


      1. Remove the heater packing from the blower motor with fan sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 BLOWER DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B000OT9

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the cover plate.

    3. B004ADGC01
      *A for LHD
      *B for RHD

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Detach the guide and No. 1 blower damper servo sub-assembly.
