FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for LHD, Driver Seat:

      Check the buckle switch.

      *a Connector A *b Connector B
      *c Connector C *d

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly LH)

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt unfastened (Buckle switch is off) 10 kΩ or higher
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt fastened (Buckle switch is on) Below 1 Ω
        B-3 (LSP-) - C-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-4 (LSP+) - C-2 Always Below 1 Ω
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

    2. for RHD, Front Passenger Seat:

      Check the buckle switch.

      Component without harness connected

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt unfastened (Buckle switch is off) 10 kΩ or higher
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt fastened (Buckle switch is on) Below 1 Ω
        B-3 (E) - C-3 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-4 (+) - C-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. for RHD, Driver Seat:

      Check the buckle switch.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt unfastened (Buckle switch is off) 10 kΩ or higher
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt fastened (Buckle switch is on) Below 1 Ω
        B-3 (RSP-) - C-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-4 (RSP+) - C-2 Always Below 1 Ω
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH.

    2. for LHD, Front Passenger Seat:

      Check the buckle switch.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt unfastened (Buckle switch is off) 10 kΩ or higher
        A-1 - A-2 Seat belt fastened (Buckle switch is on) Below 1 Ω
        B-3 (+) - C-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-4 (E) - C-3 Always Below 1 Ω
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly RH.
