SEAT POSITION SENSOR INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure as for the RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR

      Attach the guide and install the seat slide position sensor protector to the seat position airbag sensor.

  2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR

      Slide the guide of the seat slide position sensor protector into the seat cushion frame.

    2. While holding the slide motor with your hand, use a T30 "TORX" socket wrench and temporarily install the seat position airbag sensor with the "TORX" bolt.

      Fit a 1.3 mm (0.052 in.) feeler gauge in between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail, holding the seat position airbag sensor in place while gently holding from above.

      Standard
      0.6 to 2.0 mm (0.024 to 0.079 in.)

      Note


      • Do not reuse parts if dropped or subjected to any strong impact during operation.

      • Check that a 1.3 mm (0.052 in.)clearance is maintained between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail.

      Tech Tips

      With the adjustment support as an axis, adjust the clearance by moving the seat position airbag sensor up or down.

    4. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector.

    6. Check that there is no looseness in the installed seat position airbag sensor.

    7. Return the slide motor to its original position.

    8. Install the rubber of the slide motor.

    9. Install the nut of the slide motor.

      Torque:
      1.8 N*m  { 18 kgf*cm, 16 in.*lbf }
