DESCRIPTION

The illuminated entry system controls the power switch illumination.

  • Check that the "Engine Start Indicator" customization setting is set to "ON".

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Active Test
      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Power/Engine SW Light Power switch illumination OFF or ON -

      Body Electrical > Entry&Start > Active Test

      OK
      Power switch illumination comes on.

  2. INSPECT POWER SWITCH


    1. Remove the power switch.

      Click here

    2. Inspect the power switch.

      Click here

    REPLACE POWER SWITCH Click here

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU [SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY])


    1. Disconnect the P27 power switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the P66 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P27-9 (SWIL) - P66-10 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω
      P27-6 (AGND) - P66-11 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      P27-9 (SWIL) or P66-10 (SWIL)- Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P27-6 (AGND) or P66-11 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
