LIGHTING SYSTEM ACC Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the power switch on (ACC) or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (ENTRY AND START SYSTEM [for Start Function])


    1. Check for the DTCs.

      Entry and start system (for Start Function) DTCs are not output.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the driver side junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      for LHD

      3F-1 - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      3B-17 - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      Power switch off Below 1 V
      for RHD

      3B-18 - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the driver side junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the driver side junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD:

      3F-1 - A-30 (ACC) Auxiliary battery not connected to 3B-17 and 3B-6 10 kΩ or higher

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3B-17

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 3B-6

      Below 1 Ω
      3B-6 - A-11 (GND1) Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3F-1 - A-30 (ACC) Auxiliary battery not connected to 3B-18 and 3B-7 10 kΩ or higher

      Auxiliary battery positive (+) → 3B-18

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → 3B-7

      Below 1 Ω
      3B-7 - A-11 (GND1) Always Below 1 Ω
