BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL PAD

      Install the brake pedal pad to the brake pedal support assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Installation is easier after applying a small amount of soapy water.

  2. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY


    1. B000RN7

      Install the brake pedal support assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      12.7 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the 2 clips to the brake pedal support assembly.

    3. B000ROG

      Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

  3. INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN


    1. B000RCWC01
      B004B21 Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease

      Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the push rod pin.

    2. B000QD4

      Connect the master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake pedal support assembly with the push rod pin, and install a new clip as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      The push rod pin can be installed in either direction.

  4. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

  6. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

      Install the brake pedal return spring to the brake pedal support assembly.

  7. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  8. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT

    Click here

  9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY

  10. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL

  11. INSTALL STEERING ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VGRS)

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (w/o VGRS)
