PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT ABSORBER CONTROL SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

      Component without harness connected

      (Absorber Control Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4 (P) - 1 (GND) Combination switch assembly knob turned and held at S/S+ position Below 10 Ω
      Combination switch assembly knob not turned to S/S+ position 10 kΩ or higher
      6 (B) - 1 (GND) Normal/Custom mode switch pushed and held Below 10 Ω
      Normal/Custom mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the absorber control switch (combination switch assembly).

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the absorber control switch (combination switch assembly).

      Standard
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 8 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 5 (ILL-)

      		 Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the absorber control switch (combination switch assembly).
