OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER BRACKET


    1. B000T7VN01

      Temporarily install the transmission oil cooler bracket with the 4 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 4 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL MOTOR COOLING COOLER


    1. B000RUQN01

      Temporarily install the motor cooling cooler with 3 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 3 bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE


    1. B000PGI

      Install the transmission oil cooler hose to the radiator assembly and motor cooling cooler, and slide the 2 hose clips to secure the hose.

      Note


      • When connecting the transmission oil cooler hose, align with the colors and positions of the paint mark before connecting.

      • When connecting the radiator assembly to the transmission oil cooler hose, face the positioning paint mark to the RH side of the vehicle.

      • After connecting the transmission oil cooler hose, check that the hose is not twisted.

      • Do not deform the motor cooling cooler.

    2. Attach the transmission oil cooler hose to the clamp.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE


    1. B000R7M

      Install the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to the radiator assembly and oil cooler without tube sub-assembly, and slide the 2 hose clips to secure the hose.

      Note


      • When connecting the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose, align with the colors and positions of the paint mark before connecting.

      • When connecting the radiator assembly to the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose, face the positioning paint mark to the RH side of the vehicle.

      • After connecting the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose, check that the hose is not twisted.

    2. Attach the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose to the 2 clamps.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE


    1. B000T0L

      Install the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose to the motor cooling cooler and oil cooler without tube sub-assembly, and slide the 2 hose clips to secure the hose.

      Note


      • When connecting the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose, align with the colors and positions of the paint mark before connecting.

      • After connecting the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose, check that the hose is not twisted.

      • Do not deform the motor cooling cooler.

  6. INSTALL OIL COOLER INLET HOSE


    1. B000OMHC01
      *a 0 to 2.0 mm (0 to 0.0787 in.)
      *b 2.0 to 7.0 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.)
      *c Paint Mark
      *d Rib
      *e Front of vehicle
      *f Bottom of Vehicle
      *g Clamp Range 120°

      Install the oil cooler inlet hose to the motor cooling cooler and No. 2 radiator hose, and slide the 2 hose clips to secure the hose.

      Note


      • Align the paint marks on the oil cooler inlet hose to the paint mark on the motor cooling cooler and rib of the No. 2 radiator hose.

      • The hose clamp claw position is within the range shown in the illustration.

      • Do not deform the motor cooling cooler.

      • Water or coolant can be used to assist with inserting the hose, however when using liquid other than water, dilute it to 50% concentration or less before use.

  7. INSTALL OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE

      *a 0 to 2.0 mm (0 to 0.0787 in.)
      *b 2.0 to 7.0 mm (0.0787 to 0.276 in.)
      *c Paint Mark
      *d Rib
      *e Front of vehicle
      *f Bottom of Vehicle
      *g Left side of vehicle
      *h Clamp Range 120°

      Install the oil cooler outlet hose to the motor cooling cooler and water outlet sub-assembly, and slide the 2 hose clips to secure the hose.

      Note


      • Align the paint marks on the oil cooler outlet hose to the paint mark on the motor cooling cooler and rib of the water outlet sub-assembly.

      • The hose clamp claw position is within the range shown in the illustration.

      • Do not deform the motor cooling cooler.

      • Water or coolant can be used to assist with inserting the hose, however when using liquid other than water, dilute it to 50% concentration or less before use.

    2. Attach the oil cooler outlet hose to the oil cooler outlet hose bracket.
