PROCEDURE
DRAIN TRANSMISSION FLUID
Remove the drain plug and gasket, and then drain the transmission fluid.

Install a new gasket and drain plug.
Note
Install the flat side of the gasket to the drain plug side.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 8 bolts, transmission oil pan sub-assembly and transmission oil pan gasket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
Remove the 4 oil cleaner magnets from the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.
Collect any steel chips with the removed magnets. Carefully look at the foreign objects and particles in the transmission oil pan sub-assembly and on the magnets to guess the type of wear which might be found in the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

REMOVE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 bolts and oil strainer assembly from the transmission valve body assembly.

Remove the O-ring from the oil strainer assembly.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION WIRE

| *2 | Lock Plate |
Remove the bolt and lock plate, and disconnect the temperature sensor from the transmission valve body assembly.
Remove the O-ring from the temperature sensor.
Detach the wire harness clamp.
Disconnect the 7 connectors from the transmission valve body assembly.

Pull Down |
Disconnect the transmission wire connector.
Tech Tips
Disengage the claw, pull down the lever, and then disconnect the transmission wire connector.

Turn |
Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, remove the bolt.
Pull out the transmission wire.
Remove the O-ring from the transmission wire.
