TRANSMISSION WIRE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. DRAIN TRANSMISSION FLUID

    1. B000Q2X

Remove the drain plug and gasket, and then drain the transmission fluid.

    2. B004AUJC02
      *1 Gasket

Install a new gasket and drain plug.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

Install the flat side of the gasket to the drain plug side.

  2. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. B000OKK

Remove the 8 bolts, transmission oil pan sub-assembly and transmission oil pan gasket from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

    2. Remove the 4 oil cleaner magnets from the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

      1. Collect any steel chips with the removed magnets. Carefully look at the foreign objects and particles in the transmission oil pan sub-assembly and on the magnets to guess the type of wear which might be found in the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

        Result
        Steel (magnetic)
        Bearing, gear and plate wear
        Brass (non-magnetic)
        Bushing wear
  3. REMOVE OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY

    1. B000OU0

Remove the 3 bolts and oil strainer assembly from the transmission valve body assembly.

      *1 O-ring

Remove the O-ring from the oil strainer assembly.

  4. REMOVE TRANSMISSION WIRE

    1. B004AH6C02
      *1 Temperature Sensor
      *2 Lock Plate

Remove the bolt and lock plate, and disconnect the temperature sensor from the transmission valve body assembly.

    2. B000OV9

Remove the O-ring from the temperature sensor.

    3. B004BJ9

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Disconnect the 7 connectors from the transmission valve body assembly.

    5. B004CMCC01
