WATER PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

    Click here

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

    Click here

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REINFORCEMENT

    Click here

  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  11. DISCONNECT WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the clamp from the water hose.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water pipe sub-assembly from the water hose and water hose sub-assembly.

  12. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the oil cooler outlet hose.

      *a Hose Clamp
      *b Wire Harness Clamp

      Disconnect the wire harness clamp and detach the hose clamp from the oil cooler outlet hose bracket.

    3. B000QIV

      Remove the bolt and oil cooler outlet hose bracket from the timing chain cover assembly.

  13. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  14. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE

    Click here

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (w/ Oil Cooler)

    Click here

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 7 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (w/ Oil Cooler)

    Click here

  18. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  19. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

      Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-00700 )

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.

  20. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 15 bolts, engine water pump assembly and water pump gasket.
