RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM


  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER REINFORCEMENT

      Remove the 4 bolts and engine under cover reinforcement from the strut bar bracket support sub-assembly.

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  7. DRAIN COOLANT (for Inverter)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  9. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSSMEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    Click here

  11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 6 nuts and No. 2 front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION LH


    1. B000NSR

      Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the front bumper fender liner LH from the radiator support extension LH.

    2. B000OMJ

      Remove the 3 screws, detach the 2 claws and remove the radiator support extension LH from the radiator support opening cover.

  14. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT EXTENSION RH


    1. B000Q1M

      Remove the 3 screws and disconnect the front fender liner RH from the radiator support extension RH.

    2. B000RYV

      Remove the 3 screws, detach the 2 claws and remove the radiator support extension RH from the radiator support opening cover.

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

      Remove the 4 screws, detach the 3 claws and remove the radiator support opening cover from the front crossmember sub-assembly.

  16. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  17. REMOVE LOWER ARM BRACKET BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

  19. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  20. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER LH (for LHD)

  21. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER RH

  22. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. B000QMB

      Disconnect the 3 connector, detach the 3 wire harness clamps to disconnect the engine room main wire from the radiator reserve tank assembly.

      *1 Radiator Reserve Tank Hose
      *2 Reserve Tank Outlet Hose
      *3 No. 3 Inverter Cooling Hose

      for LHD:


      1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the radiator reserve tank hose.

      2. Slide the clip and disconnect the reserve tank outlet hose.

      3. Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 3 inverter cooling hose from the radiator reserve tank assembly.

      *2 Reserve Tank Outlet Hose

      for RHD:


      1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the radiator reserve tank hose.

      2. Slide the clip and disconnect the reserve tank outlet hose.

      Remove the 2 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly from the fan with motor assembly

  23. REMOVE INVERTER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

  24. REMOVE INVERTER WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR

  25. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the water outlet sub-assembly.

  26. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. B000SC3

      Detach the clamp from the No. 3 radiator hose.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 radiator hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

  27. DISCONNECT NO. 6 INVERTER COOLING HOSE (for LHD)

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 inverter cooling hose from the inverter cooling inlet pipe assembly.

  28. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Slide the retainer of the No. 4 inverter cooling hose and disconnect the No. 2 inverter cooling hose assembly from the No. 4 inverter cooling hose.

    2. B000SPQ

      Detach the 3 clamps and remove the No. 2 inverter cooling hose from the fan with motor assembly.

  29. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

  30. DISCONNECT NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE


    1. for LHD:

      Click here

    2. for RHD:

        Slide the retainer of the No. 5 inverter cooling hose and disconnect the No. 3 inverter cooling hose from the No. 5 inverter cooling hose.

      2. Disconnect the No. 3 inverter cooling hose from the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant).

  31. DISCONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE


    1. B000PCA

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator assembly.

  32. DISCONNECT NO. 3 ENGINE WIRE


    1. B000OFG

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps, claw and remove the 2 bolts and No. 3 engine wire.

  33. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE


    1. B000QTC

      Detach the clamp from the No. 2 radiator hose.

    2. B000TB7

      Slide the clip and disconnect the transmission oil cooler hose from the radiator assembly.

  34. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER INLET HOSE


    1. B000NZ5

      Slide the clip and disconnect the oil cooler inlet hose from the motor cooling cooler.

      Note

      Do not deform the motor cooling cooler.

  35. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE


    1. B000OCL

      Detach the 3 wire harness clamps, disconnect the 4 connectors and engine room main wire.

  36. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B000QWR

      Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

      Note

      Do not allow the cooler condenser assembly to interfere with the radiator assembly.

  37. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT BRACE

      Remove the bolt and hood lock support brace from the front crossmember sub-assembly.

  38. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY A

  39. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler compressor assembly.

      Click here

    2. Disconnect the discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.

      Click here

  40. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 2 claws, 2 guides and disconnect the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not allow the cooler condenser assembly to interfere with the radiator assembly.

    2. B000QBB

      Remove the 6 bolts and front crossmember sub-assembly.

      Note

      Perform the following procedure with 2 or more people to prevent damage to the radiator assembly.

      Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle together with the fan with motor assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      When removing the radiator assembly from the vehicle, do not apply excessive force to the cooler pipe or cooling hoses.

  41. REMOVE REAR RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH


    1. B000OTT

      Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear radiator side air guide plate LH.

  42. REMOVE NO. 3 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

      Remove the bolt, clip and No. 3 inverter cooling hose from the radiator assembly.

  43. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. B000S23

      Detach the radiator hose clamp the No. 1 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and remove the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  44. REMOVE DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B000SET

      Detach the clamp and remove the discharge hose sub-assembly from the fan with motor assembly.

  45. REMOVE REAR RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH


    1. B000QD2

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear radiator side air guide plate RH.

  46. REMOVE NO. 2 INVERTER COOLING HOSE


    1. B000PZN

      Remove the 2 clips, clamp and the No. 2 inverter cooling hose from the radiator assembly.

  47. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. B000OML

      Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the fan with motor assembly.

    2. Slide the clip and remove the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  48. REMOVE FAN WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts, detach the 2 guides and remove the fan with motor assembly from the radiator assembly.

  49. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.

  50. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator assembly.

  51. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Remove the 2 No. 1 radiator to support seals from the radiator assembly.

  52. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Remove the No. 2 radiator to support seal from the radiator assembly.

  53. REMOVE NO. 3 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Remove the No. 3 radiator to support seal from the radiator assembly.

  54. REMOVE NO. 4 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Remove the No. 4 radiator to support seal from the radiator assembly.

  55. REMOVE NO. 5 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Remove the No. 5 radiator to support seal from the radiator assembly.
