FUEL VAPOR CONTAINMENT VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL TANK SOLENOID MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly to the charcoal canister bracket sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FUEL TANK SOLENOID VALVE WITH HOSE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly to the body with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    2. Attach the clamp and connect the connector to the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly.

  3. CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assemblies to the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly.

        Push the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly to the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly port and push in the retainer to lock it.

        Note


        • Check for damage or foreign objects on the connected part.

        • After connecting, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly and the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly are securely connected by pulling on them.
