CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during fuel vapor containment valve (fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly) removal/installation are shown below.

Note
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY
Press the lid opener switch to release the pressure in the fuel tank.
Remove the fuel tank cap assembly.
REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER WITH DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER
DISCONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the 2 fuel tank vent hose sub-assemblies from the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly.

Pinch the retainer and raise it.
Note
Do not use any tools in this procedure.
Check for any dirt and foreign matter contamination in the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly and around the connector. Clean if necessary. Foreign matter may damage the O-rings or cause leaks in the seal between the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly and connector.
Tech Tips
Do not remove the retainer.
Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly from the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly.
REMOVE FUEL TANK SOLENOID VALVE WITH HOSE ASSEMBLY
Detach the clamp and disconnect the connector from the fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly.
Remove the 2 nuts and fuel tank solenoid valve with hose assembly from the body.
REMOVE FUEL TANK SOLENOID MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 nuts and fuel tank solenoid main valve assembly from the charcoal canister bracket sub-assembly.
