CANISTER(w/ Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL CANISTER PUMP MODULE

    Tech Tips

    Only perform this procedure when replacement of the canister pump module is necessary.


    1. B000TGG

      Attach the 2 claws and install a new canister pump module to the filter assembly.

      Note


      • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-rings.

      • Ensure that the claws are engaged properly.

  2. INSTALL FUEL OUTLET VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the fuel outlet valve assembly to the charcoal canister assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      *a Retainer
      B004ANI Push in

      Push the fuel outlet valve assembly to the charcoal canister assembly and push in the retainer to attach the lock claws.

      Note


      • Do not allow foreign matter such as grease, oil or water to adhere to the O-ring.

      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (charcoal canister assembly) before performing this work.

      • After connecting the fuel outlet valve assembly, check that the fuel outlet valve assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

  3. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the clip and set the charcoal canister assembly to the body.

    2. Install the charcoal canister assembly to the body with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the purge line hose to the fuel tube, and slide the clip to secure hose.

    4. Attach the 2 clamps and connect the connector to the canister pump module.

  4. CONNECT CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Push the charcoal canister outlet tube sub-assembly onto the pipe (fuel outlet valve assembly) until the charcoal canister outlet tube sub-assembly makes a "click" sound and push in the retainer.

      Note


      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (fuel outlet valve assembly) before performing this work.

      • After connecting the charcoal canister outlet tube sub-assembly, check that the charcoal canister outlet tube sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

  5. CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *a Retainer
      B004ANI Push in

      Push the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly to the charcoal canister assembly and push in the retainer to attach the lock claws.

      Note


      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (charcoal canister assembly) before performing this work.

      • After connecting the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly, check that the fuel tank vent hose sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

  6. INSTALL MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the main muffler heat insulator to the body with the 9 nuts and 2 clips.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }
