HV RELAY ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HV BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect SMRB:


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        (HV Battery Junction Block Assembly)

        		 - -
        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        f2-1 (CBI) - z14-1 (+) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals z29-1 (SMRB) and z29-3 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals z29-1 (SMRB) and z29-3 (GND) Below 1 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z29-1 (SMRB) - z29-3 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 25.0 to 59.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the HV battery junction block assembly.

    2. Inspect SMRG:


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        		 - -
        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        f3-1 (CEI) - z13-1 (-) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals z29-4 (SMRG) and z29-3 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals z29-4 (SMRG) and z29-3 (GND) Below 1 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z29-4 (SMRG) - z29-3 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 25.0 to 59.0 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the HV battery junction block assembly.

    3. Inspect SMRP:


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        B000R16C03

        Component without harness connected

        (HV Battery Junction Block Assembly)

        		 - -
        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        f3-1 (CEI) - z13-1 (-) Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals z29-2 (SMRP) and z29-3 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals z29-2 (SMRP) and z29-3 (GND) 24.3 and 29.7 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        z29-2 (SMRP) - z29-3 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 140 to 290 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the HV battery junction block assembly.
