HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Eco Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the ECO mode switch (combination switch assembly) is operated to the ECO mode side, the ECO mode signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly, and the power save mode of the heater and air conditioning system is activated.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      
      CAN Bus Check

      Result
      Result Proceed to All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)

   Proceed to A B

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

   5. Check for DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to No DTCs are output. A DTCs are output. B

   6. Turn the power switch off.

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List / ECO Switch.

      
      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Data List

      Tester Display
      ECO Switch

   5. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO MODE SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) - BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the P85 ECO mode switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

   2. 

      *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to ECO Mode Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P85-1 (GND) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 Ω

   3. Reconnect the P85 ECO mode switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - ECO MODE SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY))

   
   

   1. Disconnect the P57 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the P85 ECO mode switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

   3. 

      *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Air Conditioning Amplifier Assembly)
      *b	Front view of wire harness connector (to ECO Mode Switch (Combination Switch Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P57-20 (ECOS) - P85-7 (ECU) Power switch off Below 1 Ω P57-20 (ECOS) or P85-7 (ECU) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   4. Reconnect the P85 ECO mode switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

   5. Reconnect the P57 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG
