DESCRIPTION

If the telephone transceiver assembly detects an error in communication between the telephone transceiver assembly and airbag ECU assembly as a result of the telephone transceiver assembly self-check, this DTC will be stored.

Note


  • The vehicle is equipped with an SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) which includes components such as airbags. Before servicing (including removal or installation of parts), be sure to read the Precaution in the SRS.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for G-BOOK.

  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  • When replacing the telephone transceiver assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY - AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the P134 telephone transceiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the P6 airbag ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Disconnect the telephone transceiver assembly connector.

      Check the input waveform.


      1. Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below. (Check the waveform from the back of the wire harness connector of the telephone transceiver assembly while the airbag ECU assembly connectors are connected.)
