Perform these procedures after the engine has cooled down.
INSPECT DRIVE BELT
Inspect the drive belt.
REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
Replace the engine oil and oil filter.
INSPECT COOLING AND HEATER SYSTEM
Check that the radiator, condenser and/or intercooler is not blocked with leaves, dirt or insects, and clean them if necessary. Also check the hose connection for the installation condition, corrosion, etc.
INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT
Inspect the engine coolant.
REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT
Replace the engine coolant.
INSPECT INVERTER COOLANT
Inspect the inverter coolant.
REPLACE INVERTER COOLANT
Replace the inverter coolant.
INSPECT ENGINE OIL COOLER HOSES AND CONNECTIONS
Check the oil cooler hoses for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation.
INSPECT EXHAUST PIPES AND MOUNTINGS
Visually check the pipes, hangers and connections for severe corrosion, leaks or damage.
REPLACE SPARK PLUGS
Replace the spark plugs.
INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY
Inspect the auxiliary battery.
REPLACE FUEL FILTER
Replace the fuel filter.
ADD FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
for Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Aruba, Republic of Korea, Macao and Slovakia:
Add fuel injector cleaner to the fuel tank.
INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT
Remove the air cleaner filter element.
Check that the air cleaner filter element is not excessively dirty.
If the air cleaner filter element is excessively dirty, replace the air cleaner filter element.
If cleaning the air cleaner filter element, blow compressed air as shown in the illustration to clean it.
Reinstall the air cleaner filter element.
INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP GASKET
Check the fuel tank cap gasket.
INSPECT FUEL LINES, CONNECTIONS, FUEL TANK VAPOR VENT SYSTEM HOSES AND FUEL TANK BANDS
Visually check the fuel lines and hoses for cracks, leaks, loose connections, or deformation.
Check for tank band looseness or deformation.
INSPECT CHARCOAL CANISTER
Inspect the charcoal canister.
