CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

The following malfunctions may occur if a radio receiver assembly from another vehicle is installed to this vehicle. Therefore, when replacing the radio receiver assembly, be sure to replace it with new one.


  • Communication malfunction DTC is output

  • Does not operate normally

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the power switch off.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)

      Disconnect the P101 multi-display connector.

    2. Disconnect the P99 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P101-1 (GVIF+) - P99-2 (GVIF+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P101-2 (GVIF-) - P99-1 (GVIF-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P101-3 (GND) - P99-3 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      P101-1 (GVIF+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P101-2 (GVIF-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P101-3 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY


    1. Replace the multi-display with a new or known good one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    3. Turn the power switch off.

    4. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
