DESCRIPTION

When the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) detects a problem with the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) via CAN communication, a DTC is stored and the rear turning angle is returned to the neutral position.

All conditions are met:


  • 5 seconds or more elapse after turning the power switch on (IG).

  • The power source voltage is 10 to 16 V.

  • DRS ECU communication is normal.

  • A problem is detected with the VGRS ECU via CAN communication for approximately 1 second or more.

 VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) Comes on Power switch on (IG) again

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU), perform actuator angle neutral position calibration and initialization after replacement.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM)
