DYNAMIC REAR STEERING SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1B11/21, C1B12/22

DTC Code DTC Name
C1B11/21 Short in Motor Circuit
C1B12/22 Open in Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) detects the current flowing to the motor. When a malfunction such as an overcurrent is detected, DTC C1B11/21 is stored. When the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) detects a problem with the motor terminals or ECU motor drive circuit, DTC C1B12/22 is stored.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area Warning Indicate Return-to-normal Condition
C1B11/21 Short in Motor Circuit

Either condition is met:

  • After the power switch is turned on (IG), a short in the motor circuit or an internal ECU (motor drive circuit) malfunction continues for 1.2 seconds or more before control starts.

  • After the power switch is turned on (IG), a short in the motor circuit or an internal ECU (motor drive circuit) malfunction continues for 0.1 seconds or more.

  • Rear steering link assembly

  • DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU)

Comes on Power switch on (IG) again
C1B12/22 Open in Motor Circuit

Either condition is met:

  • After the power switch is turned on (IG), an open in the motor circuit or an internal ECU (motor drive circuit) malfunction continues for 1.2 seconds or more before control starts.

  • After the power switch is turned on (IG), an open in the motor circuit or an internal ECU (motor drive circuit) malfunction continues for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • Rear steering link assembly

  • DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU)

Comes on Power switch on (IG) again

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

  • When replacing the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU), perform neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration.
