FAIL-SAFE CHART
When a malfunction occurs in the system, the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) performs the following fail-safe functions.

| C1B05/15 | Motor Rotation Angle Sensor Calibration Malfunction | Control is not started. |
| C1B09/19 | VGRS System Malfunction | Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position. |
| C1B0A/42 | VGRS Sending Message Malfunction | Control stops. |
| C1B11/21 | Short in Motor Circuit | Control is not started or stops. |
| C1B12/22 | Open in Motor Circuit | Control is not started or stops. |
| C1B13/23 | Motor Rotation Angle Not Detected | Control is not started or stops. |
| C1B14/24 | Stroke Sensor Circuit | Returns the rear turning angle to the neutral position. |
