PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (DYNAMIC REAR STEERING SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs in the dynamic rear steering system.

      Click here


      Chassis > DRS > Trouble Codes

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (ABNORMAL OPERATION HISTORY)


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / VGRS / Data List.

    6. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      Tech Tips

      When there is a decrease or increase in power source voltage, or during overheating prevention, VGRS system operation stops temporarily.

  4. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS


    1. Check if operation stopped under harsh conditions, such as the steering wheel being repeatedly turned while the vehicle is stationary.

      Tech Tips

      When the torque load is large, such as when driving on rough roads, VGRS system operation stops to protect the system.

  5. CHECK STEERING EFFORT


    1. Check the steering torque when the steering wheel is turned with the vehicle stopped.
