DESCRIPTION

If the electric parking brake is used continuously, the parking brake with bracket actuator assembly overheat prevention temporarily stops the system.

This DTC is stored to protect the system and is not a malfunction.

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Electric parking brake is operating.

  2. Lock and release operations are performed without 2 second interval 10 times; or lock and release operations are performed without 2 second interval 5 times, and target current is not achieved during lock control.

 Overheat due to continuous use of system Yes An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

  1. ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE OVERHEAT


    1. Wait for approximately 1 minute.

      Tech Tips

      Wait approximately 1 minute and then clear the DTCs.
