Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch is on (IG).

  2. After parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, when power switch is first turned on (IG), system cannot communicate with hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly for approximately 4 seconds.

  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly

  • CAN communication system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 Yes An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

If the parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "Acquire Tension Sensor Zero Point" procedures.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Check for DTC.

      Chassis > Electric Parking Brake > Trouble Codes

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C13AE/72 and a CAN communication malfunction DTC are output at the same time A
