Tech Tips

If the bumper is damaged, there is a possibility that the installation area of the blind spot monitor sensor may be deformed and the blind spot monitor system may not operate correctly, so visually inspect the blind spot monitor sensor installation area (frame, stud bolt) to make sure it is not dented or bent.

If the visual inspection finds a problem, check the installation condition of the blind spot monitor sensor, and adjust the installation position of the blind spot monitor sensor as necessary.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR FINISH PANEL COVER LH


    1. Using a screwdriver, insert the screwdriver into the cutout of the back door finish panel cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Raise the screwdriver in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

    3. Detach the hook to remove the back door finish panel cover LH.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR FINISH PANEL COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnec the 2 connectors.

      B000WYJ Remove in this Direction

      Remove the retainer.

    3. Detach the claw to remove the license plate light sub-assembly.
