Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Set the headlight assembly LH to the vehicle.

    2. Slide the headlight assembly LH and attach the guide.

    3. B000XNV

      Attach the positioning pin of the headlight assembly LH bracket.

      Note

      Be careful not to break the bracket.

    4. Install the 3 screws.

    5. B000X5A

      Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    6. Connect the connector and lock the connector lock lever.

  2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT TOP SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B000WAH

      Attach the clip to set the front fender reinforcement top sub-assembly LH.

    2. Hold the area shown in the illustration and push the rear end downwards and attach the hook toward the outside.

    3. Hold the area shown in the illustration and push the front end downwards and attach the hook toward the outside.

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  4. PERFORM REGISTRATION (When Replacing The Headlight Assembly LH or No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-Assembly LH)

    • If any of the work in the table below has been performed, vehicle information registration of the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH is necessary.

      Performed Work or System Condition Necessary Procedures
      Replacement of the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH Vehicle information registration for the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH
      Replacement of the headlight assembly LH

    • A new No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH cannot operate until the vehicle information is registered.

    • After replacing the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH , it is necessary to register the vehicle information.

    • Even if the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH is replaced with a new one, vehicle information registration is not necessary.

    • Vehicle information registration must be performed with the multiplex network body ECU (main body ECU) and hybrid vehicle control ECU connected via CAN communication.
