LIGHTING SYSTEM High Beam Headlight Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly controls the high beam headlights.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK LIGHTS

   
   

   1. Check the illumination of each high beam lights.

      Result
      Result Proceed to LH side high beam light does not illuminate. A RH side high beam light does not illuminate. B

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS

   
   

   1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

3. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.

   2. Check that the high beam light LH operate normally.

      Click here

      OK
      High beam light LH operate normally.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Click here

4. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Remove the headlight unit assembly LH.

      *c	Component without harness connected (No. 1 Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)	-	-

   2. Remove the headlight LED unit assembly LH.

   3. Disconnect the headlight unit interior circuit board LH connector.

   4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-1 - B-19 (HI SOL+) Always Below 1 Ω C-2 - B-11 (HI SOL-) Always Below 1 Ω C-3 - D-8 Always Below 1 Ω C-5 - D-7 Always Below 1 Ω

5. CHECK HEADLIGHT LED UNIT ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Remove the headlight LED unit assembly LH with new one.

   2. Check that the high beam light LH operate normally.

      Click here

      OK
      High beam light LH operate normally.
