FRONT WIPER MOTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT NO. 2 WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Inspect automatic stop (park) position


      1. Check the stop (park) position.

        *a Ceramic Dot
        *b Moulding Lip Line
        *c Windshield Glass Edge
        *d 4.5 to 24.5 mm (0.177 to 0.965 in.)
        *e 14.3 mm (0.563 in.)

        Operate the No. 2 windshield wiper motor assembly.

      3. Stop the No. 2 windshield wiper motor assembly operation.

      4. Check the automatic stop (park) position.

        Tech Tips

        After the windshield wiper motor assembly is stopped, check the automatic stop position after lifting the wiper blade 2 times.

  2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Inspect automatic stop (park) position.

        *b Windshield Glass Edge
        *c 4.5 to 24.5 mm (0.177 to 0.965 in.)
        *d 15.2 mm (0.598 in.)

        Check the stop (park) position.

      2. Operate the windshield wiper motor assembly.

      3. Stop the windshield wiper motor assembly operation.

      4. Check the automatic stop (park) position.

        Tech Tips

        After the windshield wiper motor assembly is stopped, check the automatic stop position after lifting the wiper blade 2 times.
