AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Air Conditioner Panel Operation not Accepted Only Immediately After Starting Engine

DESCRIPTION

If the air conditioning system does not operate even when the integration control and panel assembly is operated, the following causes are possible.

Malfunction Status Factor

With the engine switch turned off, start the engine with the air conditioner off.


  • (Starts at 25.0 when AUTO is pressed.)

  • Air conditioning amplifier assembly (+B short)

  • Malfunction in one of the servo motors (initialization incomplete)

  • Damper and link operation (jamming)

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P58-4 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P58-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
