If fresh/recirculation mode changes unintentionally and without permission, the following causes are possible.

PROCEDURE
CHECK CUSTOMIZE SETTING
Use the following customize setting methods to confirm that the automatically fresh/recirculation mode is "ON". If the setting is on, select the setting to "OFF".

READ VALUE USING GTS (EMISSION GAS SENSNOR)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Allow exhaust gas (HC, CO) to travel to the sensing portion of the smog ventilation sensor.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
