FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER LH


    1. B000UFQC01
      B000WYJ Install in this Direction (1)
      B000YNM Install in this Direction (2)

      Slide in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guide.

    2. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the claw and install the front seat belt retractor cover LH.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B000YNXN01

      Attach the guides and temporarily install the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    3. B000VPNC01
      *a Locking Button
      *b Lock

      Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • When handling the pretensioner connector, take care not to damage the pretensioner wire harness.

      • Securely lock the locking button.

    4. Connect the tension reducer connector.

      Install the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH(FLOOR ANCHOR)


    1. B000UTSC01
      *a Tongue Plate
      *b Floor Anchor

      Install the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      When connecting the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH, make sure that the tongue plate is facing the front of the vehicle.

    2. Check that the ELR locks.


      1. With the front seat outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  7. INSTALL OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

      B000YNM Install in this Direction (2)

      Slide in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration to attach the guide B.

    2. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the guide A and install the outer lap belt anchor cover.
