  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR) (for Standard Seat Type)

      Component without harness connected

      (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Pad(Occupant Detection Sensor))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat occupied Below 100 Ω
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher
      If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion pad(occupant detection sensor).

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR) (for Sports Seat Type)

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Seat Cushion Pad with Cover(Occupant Detection Sensor))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat occupied Below 100 Ω
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher
      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion pad with cover(occupant detection sensor).
