    1. w/ Buzzer Regulated by Law


      1. Seat belt warning light operation for driver seat belt:

        The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly illuminates, blinks or turns off in accordance with the driver seat belt state, vehicle speed, shift lever position and parking brake state.

      2. Seat belt warning light operation for front passenger seat belt:

        The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly illuminates, blinks or turns off in accordance with whether the front passenger seat is occupied, the front passenger seat belt state, vehicle speed, shift lever position and parking brake state.

      3. Front seat belt warning buzzer:

        After turning the engine switch on (IG), if the driver seat belt is not fastened within 1.8 seconds, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 6 seconds.

        When the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more with the front passenger seat occupied and the driver or front passenger seat belt not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds once.

        When 24 seconds have passed after the buzzer sounded, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 6 seconds.

        After that, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds.

      4. Rear seat belt warning buzzer:

        When the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more with a rear seat belt not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 6 seconds.

        After that, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 24 seconds.

      1. Seat belt warning light operation for driver seat belt:

        The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with the driver seat belt state.

      2. Seat belt warning light operation for front passenger seat belt:

        The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks or turns off in accordance with whether the front passenger seat is occupied, the front passenger seat belt state.

      3. Rear seat belt warning light:

        The rear seat belt warning lights on the telltale light assembly illuminate or turn off in accordance with the front door state, vehicle speed and rear seat belt state.

      4. Seat belt warning buzzer:

        When the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more with the front passenger seat occupied and the driver or front passengerseat belt not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 30 seconds.

        After that, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds.

      5. Rear seat belt warning buzzer:

        When the vehicle is driven at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more with a rear seat belt not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 30 seconds.

        After that, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly will sound at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS

    Component Function
    Front seat inner belt assembly LH*1, RH*2 Informs the airbag ECU assembly of the driver seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Front seat inner belt assembly RH*1, LH*2 Informs the occupant detection sensor of the front passenger seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Occupant detection sensor (front passenger seat) Informs the occupant detection sensor of the front passenger seat condition (occupied or unoccupied).
    Combination meter assembly
    • Blinks or turns off the seat belt warning light.

    • Illuminates or turns off the rear seat belt warning light.

    • Sounds the seat belt warning buzzer.

    Airbag ECU assembly Sends the front seat inner belt buckle switch signals to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

    • No. 1 rear seat inner belt assembly LH

    • Rear seat inner belt assembly RH

    Informs the combination meter assembly of each rear seat belt condition (fastened or unfastened).
    Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) Sends the front door courtesy switch signals to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
    Skid control ECU assembly Sends the vehicle speed signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
    ECM Sends the shift position signal and parking status signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
    Parking brake ECU assembly Sends the parking brake signal to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
    Front seat belt warning light

    for Driver Side:

    If driver side seat belt is unfastened and engine switch is on (IG), combination meter assembly flashes front seat belt warning light in combination meter assembly as reminder

    for Front Passenger Side:

    When front passenger seat is occupied and engine switch is no (IG), if front passenger side seat belt is unfastened, combination meter assembly flashes front seat belt warning light of combination meter assembly as reminder

    Tech Tips

    The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.

    Rear seat belt warning light When front door is opened and closed (front door courtesy light switch turns on and off) with engine switch is on (IG), or when rear door is opened and closed (rear door courtesy light switch turns on and off) and then engine switch is turned to ON, telltale light assembly turns on rear seat belt warning light in telltale light assembly as reminder
