FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Power Seat Lifter Motor Assembly LH)

      Check the operation of the lifter motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the power seat lifter motor assembly LH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat lifter motor assembly LH.

2. INSPECT POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Power Seat Tilt Motor Assembly LH)

      for LHD, Driver Seat:

      Check the operation of the tilt motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the power seat tilt motor assembly LH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat tilt motor assembly LH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Power Seat Tilt Motor Assembly LH)

      for RHD, Front Passenger Seat:

      Check the operation of the tilt motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the power seat tilt motor assembly LH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat tilt motor assembly LH.

3. INSPECT POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Power Seat Lifter Motor Assembly RH)

      Check the operation of the lifter motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the power seat lifter motor assembly RH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminals.

         OK
         Battery Connection Operational Direction Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Upward Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat lifter motor assembly RH.

4. INSPECT POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH

      for RHD, Driver Seat:

      1. Check that the power seat tilt motor assembly RH moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminals.
