AIRBAG CUT-OFF INDICATOR LIGHT INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY (AIRBAG CUT-OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the airbag off indicator illumination conditions.

      Component without harness connected

      (Airbag Cut Off Indicator Light)

      		 *b Front Passenger Airbag Indicator
      *c Airbag OFF Indicator - -
      OK
      Battery Connection Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (IG+)

      Battery negative (-) → 6 (P-AB)

      		 Airbag off indicator illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (IG+)

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (DIM)

      Battery negative (-) → 6 (P-AB)

      Battery negative (-) → 10 (OFF)

      		 Airbag off indicator illuminates in dimmed state

      If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the airbag on indicator illumination conditions.

      OK
      Battery Connection Specified Condition

      		 Airbag on indicator illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (IG+)

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (DIM)

      Battery negative (-) → 5 (PAON)

      Battery negative (-) → 10 (OFF)

      		 Airbag on indicator illuminates in dimmed state

      If the result is not as specified, replace the telltale light assembly.
