This DTC is stored when a microphone signal line is disconnected.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Registration for Telematics System.

  • When replacing the telephone transceiver assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the P48 telephone transceiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the Z10 telephone microphone assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P48-33 (MCVD) - Z10-1 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      P48-34 (MCI+) - Z10-2 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P48-35 (MCI-) - Z10-4 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P48-33 (MCVD) or Z10-1 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P48-34 (MCI+) or Z10-2 (MCO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P48-35 (MCI-) or Z10-4 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P48-32 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a new or known good one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
