DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when an UART communication error occurs between the stereo component equalizer assembly and stereo component amplifier assembly.

Tech Tips

*: Malfunction monitoring is not performed during the following conditions to prevent erroneous detection.


  • The battery voltage is less than 9.5 V.

  • Before 3 seconds have elapsed after battery voltage has returned to normal.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT EQUALIZER ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the X8 stereo component equalizer assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the X50 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X8-2 (ACK1) - X50-2 (ACK1) Always Below 1 Ω
      X8-16 (ACK2) - X50-10 (ACK2) Always Below 1 Ω
      X8-2 (ACK1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X8-16 (ACK2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
