Note

The following malfunctions may occur if a radio receiver assembly or navigation ECU from another vehicle is installed to this vehicle. Therefore, when replacing the radio receiver assembly or navigation ECU, be sure to replace them with new ones.


  • Communication malfunction DTC is output

  • Does not operate normally

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK VOICE GUIDANCE SETTING


    1. Check that the voice guidance settings are not off.

      OK
      Voice guidance settings are not off.

    NG

    CHANGE VOICE GUIDANCE SETTINGS TO ON

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION ECU)


    1. Disconnect the P45 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the P47 navigation ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P45-22 (SI+) - P47-6 (VOI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P45-23 (SI-) - P47-7 (VOI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P45-22 (SI+) or P47-6 (VOI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P45-23 (SI-) or P47-7 (VOI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P47-8 (SLD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Check that sound can be heard from a front speaker.
