PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (THERMOSTAT, HEATER AND THERMISTOR)

      Component without harness connected

      (Steering Wheel Assembly)

      Disconnect the z24 steering wheel heater control assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z24-1(SH1) - z24-4(SH3) 20°C (68°F) 1.89 to 2.25 Ω
      z24-1(SH1) - z24-5(SH2) 25°C (77°F) 1.89 to 2.25 Ω
      z24-2(TH1) - z24-3(TH2) 25°C (77°F) 4.95 to 5.05 kΩ
