DESCRIPTION

When the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) detects a problem with the rack and pinion power steering gear assembly via CAN communication, this DTC is stored.

All conditions are met:


  • The engine switch is on (IG).

  • Power source voltage at 10 V or higher.

  • Information regarding a rack and pinion power steering gear assembly internal malfunction is received via CAN communication for approximately 3 seconds or more.

 Power steering ECU assembly Comes on Engine switch on (IG) again

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

If the rack and pinion power steering gear assembly is replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing, clear the motor rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the motor rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point.
