DESCRIPTION

The parking brake ECU assembly receives vehicle tilt information from the deceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) via CAN communication.

One of the following conditions is met:


  1. An error signal is sent from the deceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) for approximately 0.3 seconds.

  2. While the deceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) signal is judged to be stuck, starting off and stopping the vehicle occurs 16 times.

  3. Comparison error between deceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) 1 and deceleration sensor (yaw rate sensor) 2 output values occurs for 60 seconds or more.

Note

When replacing the yaw rate sensor, perform calibration, initialization or registration.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTC.

    1. Clear the DTC.

      Chassis > Electric Parking Brake > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Check for DTC.
