BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during brake pedal support assembly removal/installation are shown below.

  • Brake pedal support assembly

  • Brake pedal stroke sensor assembly

  • Clear stored linear solenoid valve calibration data

  • Perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve

  • DTCs are stored

  • ABS warning light illuminates

  • Brake warning light/yellow (minor malfunction) illuminates

  • Slip indicator light illuminates

  • VSC disabled or malfunctions

  1. REMOVE STEERING ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VGRS)

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (w/o VGRS)

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

      Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support assembly.

  6. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

    Click here

  8. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

      Remove the clip and push rod pin.

  9. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps from the brake pedal support assembly.

    2. B000X1F

      Remove the 2 clips from the brake pedal support assembly.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.

  10. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL PAD

      Remove the brake pedal pad from the brake pedal support assembly.
