BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during brake booster pump assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Brake pedal support assembly
  • Clear stored linear solenoid valve calibration data

  • Perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve


  • DTCs are stored

  • ABS warning light illuminates

  • Brake warning light/yellow (minor malfunction) illuminates

  • Slip indicator light illuminates

  • VSC disabled or malfunctions


Brake actuator assembly
  • Bleed air

  • Clear stored linear solenoid valve calibration data

  • Perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
