ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1210/36, C1336/98

DTC Code DTC Name
C1210/36 Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone
C1336/98 Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU assembly receives signals from the yaw rate sensor via CAN communication.

The yaw rate sensor detects the vehicle condition using 2 circuits (GL1, GL2).

Tech Tips

If there are malfunctions in the bus lines between the yaw rate sensor and the CAN communication system, DTCs U0123/62 (Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module) and U0124/95 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) will be stored.

These DTCs (C1210/36 and C1336/98) will also be stored when zero point calibration has not been completed.

C1210/36 Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor Undone 336 Yaw rate sensor zero point calibration is incomplete.
  • Zero point calibration undone

  • Yaw rate sensor

  • Skid control ECU assembly

(Perform zero point calibration and check for DTCs. If no DTCs are output again, the sensor is normal.)

C1336/98 Zero Point Calibration of Acceleration Sensor Undone 318

Any of the following is detected:

  1. Acceleration sensor zero point calibration is incomplete.

  2. The vehicle is driven normally without zero point calibration completed.

  3. After completing zero point calibration, zero point voltage of the sensor is not within the range of 2.38 to 2.62 V.

Tech Tips

When U0123/62 and/or U0124/95 is output together with C1210/36 and/or C1336/98, inspect and repair trouble areas indicated by U0123/62 and/or U0124/95 first.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE SENSOR

    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate sensor.

      Note

Make sure to perform initialization and calibration of the linear solenoid valve after performing "Reset Memory" as the data stored during linear solenoid valve offset learning is cleared.

      Tester Display
      Test Mode

      Tech Tips

      • When the stored zero point of the yaw rate sensor is cleared, steering sensor zero point will also be cleared.

      • If the zero point and output value of the yaw rate sensor and the output value of the speed sensors are not normal, steering sensor zero point cannot be acquired normally even if the vehicle is driven straight ahead at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more.
