DESCRIPTION

When ID registration is being performed via the automatic ID registration function of the tire pressure warning valve and transmitters, the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver outputs C2128/28 and the tire pressure warning light flashes for 1 minute. Afterward, the tire pressure warning light remains illuminated. When the tire pressure warning valve and transmitters receive the data from all tire pressure warning valve and transmitters with registered IDs, the tire pressure is judged to be normal and the tire pressure warning light turns off.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Check if the electronically controlled brake system DTC is output.

      Tech Tips

      If DTC C2128/28 is output, electronically controlled brake system DTCs may also have been detected. Check the electronically controlled brake system first and after repairs have been completed, perform ID registration via the automatic ID registration function.

  2. REGISTRATION OF TRANSMITTER ID (ID REGISTRATION VIA AUTOMATIC ID REGISTRATION FUNCTION)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Perform ID registration for the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver (ID registration via the automatic ID registration function).

      Tech Tips

      Perform the following procedures within 1 trip and do not turn the engine switch off.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS ([RAM] AUTO ID REGISTERED WHEEL JUDGMENT STATUS)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.

    6. According to the display on the GTS, display the ECU Data List.
