CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the rear height control sensor sub-assembly removal/installation are shown below.
| Replacement Part or Procedure | Necessary Procedure | Effect/Inoperative when not Performed | Link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal | Memorize steering angle neutral point | LKA/LDA system | |
| Pre-collision system | |||
| Parking assist monitor system | |||
| Steering sensor zero point calibration | Variable gear ratio steering system |
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE REAR WHEEL LH
REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
| *a | Matchmark |
Place matchmarks on the height control sensor link and load sensing valve sensor bracket.
Remove the nut and separate the height control sensor link from the load sensing valve sensor bracket.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 bolts and rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.
Note
Do not drop the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
REMOVE LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET
Remove the bolt and load sensing valve sensor bracket from the No.2 rear suspension arm LH.
